Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) brings an opportunity for the Indian nationals to fill in the online application form for LIC AAO 2019 and join as an Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist). LIC AAO 2019 Update Alert –
The national level exam will be held at various centres across India in the month of March 2019. The Corporation will soon release the LIC AAO 2019 notification. The application process is expected to be started in the last week of December 2018.
Note: Speaking about the Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) recruitment, LIC has not set any pattern as such to conduct the exam every year. Going with the stats, it can only be expected that the Corporation may (or may not) conduct the recruitment exam this year. Last time, the Authority organised the exam was in 2016.

LIC AAO 2019 Eligibility
It is important to meet the eligibility criteria set by the Corporation. The eligibility requirements are mentioned beneath –
Nationality –
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen
Academic Qualification –
- The candidate should have passed Bachelor/ Master’s Degree from a recognised India Board, Institution or University
Age Limit –
- The minimum age limit for the AAO 2019 exam is 21 years
- The upper age limit for the exam is 30 years
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit for Reserved Category –
- OBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- ECO/ SSCO (GEN): 5 years
- ECO/ SSCO (OBC): 8 years
- ECO/ SSCO (SC/ ST): 10 years
- PWD (Gen): 10 years
- PWD (OBC): 13 years
- PWD (SC/ ST): 15 years
LIC AAO Application Process 2019 -
Applicants who meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria of LIC AAO 2019 can go ahead with the registration process before the deadline. LIC will tentatively invite online applications from the eligible candidates in the last week of December 2018. Go through the complete step-by-step application process and carry out the task without making any error.
- Visit the official website of Life Insurance Corporation of India, i.e. www.licindia.in
- Select the link that says ‘Careers’ and click on ‘Recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officer 2019’
- The next page will require candidates to provide details for registration
- Click on ‘Click here for New Registration’ and candidates need to enter basic details such as Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, etc.
- The system generated log-in credentials will be sent on the registered email address. The same will also be displayed on the screen.
- Use the log-in details to sign-in and fill the fields carefully
- Make sure the details are correct. “Any change/ alteration found may disqualify the candidature.”
- Click on ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button
- This stage requires candidates to upload the scanned images of ‘photo and signature’, keeping the specifications correct
- Before selecting the ‘Final Submit’ button, applicants can choose the ‘Preview’ tab and verify the application form
- If it needs some change, do it and then click on ‘Final Submit’ button
- Remit the application fee using the credit card, debit card, net banking, IMPS, mobile wallets/ cash cards, etc.
- Click on ‘Submit’

Penalty for Incorrect Answers –
Read the instructions carefully before answering the objective type questions. There is a provision of negative marking scheme. 1/4th marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. However, no mark will be deducted if the question is left blank. To qualify for the interview (second stage of the exam), candidates must secure the passing mark in each section individually as well as in total.
LIC AAO Selection Procedure 2019 -
The selection procedure of LIC AAO demands candidates to get through both stages – online examination and personal interview. To select or not to select the candidates is totally based on the performance in the online exam, PI and pre-recruitment medical examination.
Salary, Service Conditions and Other Benefits of LIC Assistant Administrative Officer
Candidates appointed as AAO officer receive a basic pay of Rs. 17,240/- per month and other admissible allowances as per rules.
- Salary: Rs, 40,245/- per month in ‘A’ Class city
- Other benefits: Special Allowance for Passing Actuarial Examination, LTC, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Defined Contributory Pension, Group Insurance, Group Mediclaim, Cash Medical Benefit, Gratuity, Vehicle Loan (bike, car, etc.)
- Service Conditions: “Service Conditions are as applicable in LIC from time to time,” the official Information Bulletin maintains.
- Probation: Candidates given jobs will be on a probationary period for one year. However, it can be extended up to two years if required.
- Guarantee Bond: The concerned candidate or his heirs, administrators and executors ‘will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs. 200,000/-’ if he fails to produce ‘an undertaking to serve LIC for a minimum period of four years from the date of joining.’
