How to Crack IBPS PO Exam

The IBPS PO exam is one of the most popular exams among banking aspirants. The date sheet of IBPS PO 2017 exam is out. The preliminary exam is scheduled to be held on 18thSeptember to 22nd September 2017. Those candidates who want to appear for this exam can apply online. The online registration will start from August 6th to August 26th, 2017.

The IBPS PO exam is conducted in three stages. The first stage is the preliminary exam which is followed by the mains exam. Those students who qualify the mains exam are called for personal interview.

Those students who want to crack the IBPS PO exam should know about the exam-pattern first. The preliminary exam contains 100 marks for 100 questions. The preliminary exam question paper is divided into three sections, namely, Reasoning ability, Quantitative aptitude and English language. Students can score well in reasoning section if they practice regularly.  Every day they should give at least 1 hour to practice various types of reasoning questions. In order to perform well in the English language section, a student should cultivate a habit of reading newspapers, novels, and magazines. Besides, they should also select some good books of grammar to study and solve questions. Similarly, for Quantitative section students should understand basic mathematical principles first and then try to solve questions. With consistent practice, they can acquire speed and accuracy in solving questions.

The IBPS PO Mains exam has five sections, namely, Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative aptitude, English language and Computer knowledge. A student should watch news channels, read newspapers and current affairs magazines to score well in the general awareness section.  Computer section contains 20 questions of 20 marks. Questions in this section tests candidate’s basic operational knowledge about Computer. Any basic book on Computer will be more than sufficient to prepare for this section.

Interview tests candidate’s leadership qualities, capacity to perform even under pressure and managerial skills. For an interview, taking mock tests will be beneficial for students. It helps students to learn how to articulate their viewpoints.


If a student will follow the aforesaid tips in the preparation of the IBPS PO exam, then there are good chances that he or she will qualify this exam.
