How To Prepare For NEET 2018 Exam?
There are many students of science stream, who after passing
class 12th desire to become a doctor. Medical is a highly reputed
profession in our society. Doctors have lots of respect and popularity. Besides;
their income stands in the highest bracket. In today’s era of globalisation
they even have opportunity to travel abroad. In order to become a doctor, a student should
appear for the NEET exam.
The NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a
national level medical entrance exam. As per the ruling of the Supreme Court,
students can find admission in the undergraduate courses of MBBS or BDS in any
government or private colleges only through the NEET score. No other
institution; private or government including state institutions can conduct an
entrance exam for admitting students in its undergraduate courses. Such exams
will be held invalid by the court. NEET has replaced AIPMT and from past couple
of years NEET has emerged as more competitive exam compared to the AIPMT
entrance test.
Those students who are targeting NEET 2018 exam should start their preparation now. From now till
next year students have almost one year in their hand to do an extensive
preparation for the exam. With ample time in hand; students can clarify their
doubts and enhance their understanding.
Here we are giving some preparation tips to students which
will help them to crack NEET 2018 exam.
To
prepare and to crack
- Students should understand the difference between doing preparation for the
exam and cracking the exam. A good preparation does not necessarily converts
into passing the exam. Cracking skills are required in addition to good
preparation to crack this competitive exam.
Read
questions first
- Before taking up any topic of the syllabus to study, a candidate should first
of all read previous year questions related to the topic. It will help student
to understand about the level of depth in the questions asked from the topic.
Identify
co-related topics of the syllabus - Student should mark the co-related topics of the syllabus
and study them simultaneously. It will save the preparation time as well as enhance
the understanding of the student.
Divide
the syllabus
- Students should divide the whole syllabus into different topics for study.
They should move from one topic to another within a set time-frame.
Set
time frame for preparation - Students should set a time limit for studying every
topic. They should not make their preparation endless.
Practice
sample papers available online as well as offline - It is advised that students
should practice sample papers as much as they can. It is better if they try to
solve previous years’ question papers. This will give them competitive edge.
Time
management in the examination hall - It is important that a student should manage time well in
the examination hall. They should try to attempt those questions first to which
they know the answer and only thereafter they should proceed to take up other
difficult questions.
